Bellerive Country Club
St. Louis, Missouri
Built in the style of Georgian architecture, Bellerive Country Club opened in 1897 and was founded by several St. Louis sportsmen who wanted a place for golf and other leisure activities. The course, which featured nine holes until another nine were added some years later, was built on land leased from the estate of 1812 war hero Daniel Bissell.
- In 1996, MMA began a master plan to upgrade the clubhouses' facilities. Improvements included a fitness center, women's locker room access, expansion of an existing pool and dining area, and a new lounge. An outdoor dining area with a pergola provides a place for casual yet elegant outdoor dining.
