The East Academic Building at Webster University was officially declared LEED GOLD status. The project features a host of green and sustainable features from occupancy sensors for lighting and heating/cooling control, to rain guards, two green roofs and a high-performance vapor barrier. During construction, salvaged materials were returned to the University or donated to local charities.
The building was designed by Robert A.M. Stern with Mackey Mitchell Architects as the Architect-of-Record. Mackey Mitchell’s project team included Dan Mitchell, Nick Naeger, Sara Holt and Matthew Roeder.
