The AIA Birmingham design awards jury congratulated winners of this year’s program. The recently completed Charger Union at the University of Alabama in Huntsville was recognized with a top merit award in the institutional category. According to jury members, “The architect handled the complicated program elements with competency and executed good site scale with connections to the larger campus.”

Mackey Mitchell was the design firm for the project with Turner Batson as Architect-of-Record.
