Our very own Stacey Wehe, who moonlights in the non-profit world as a social activist-extraordinaire, has been named to Alive Magazine’s Buzz List. Stacey made the Buzz List, a compilation of the city’s most influential people, places and ideas, for her work establishing and running the non-profit MothUP St. Louis. Founded over a year ago, MothUP presents regular urban storyslam events featuring true stories told live without notes. The organization promotes local writers and artists but also creates a place where anyone of any background can come share and preserve the stories of their life. At its essence MothUP is about community: providing a real, tangible sense of connection to our neighbors, celebrating the diversity and commonality of our lives, and creating a place for self-expression. Congratulations to Stacey and best of luck to the continued success of MothUP St. Louis!
