Every year for the past 20 years, Gene Mackey has created a sketch at the site of the AIA’s Fellowship convocation. These sketches have been sent to each individual receiving the honor to welcome him or her to the College of Fellows. Fellowship is one of the highest honors the AIA can bestow upon a member. This year’s investiture ceremony was held at the National Cathedral in Washington D.C.

For his continued interest in the College of Fellows, Gene was honored in 2008 with the Leslie N Boney “Spirit of Fellowship” award.  The award recognizes continuous, exceptional service and dedication to the College.  Gene continues to received heartfelt “thank you” messages from colleagues who appreciate his thoughtful gift.
