Mackey Mitchell’s Human Resources Director and Disney-fanatic Cindy Petzoldt enjoyed a meaningful trip to her favorite place. On November 7th, she had the opportunity to help guide eight 7-year-olds from Montreal through the Magic Kingdom at Disney World. The program called “Dreams Take Flight” was created by Air Canada employees to grant one-day trips to Disney World for children with physical, mental, or social challenges. Money is raised throughout the year to make the dreams a reality for children in 8 cities across Canada.
Cindy’s day started by joining 30 other adult volunteers who lined up to greet 172 children for a whirlwind tour of the Magic Kingdom. Along with a day of ice cream treats and lunch at Pecos Bill’s, they enjoyed the magic of Disney with rides on Space Mountain, the Magic Carpets of Aladdin, the Jungle Cruise, and the Haunted Mansion. Hugs from Snow White, Mickey Mouse, and Goofy are sure to be remembered.
