Washington University in St. Louis ranked #2 in a 2013 “Best College for Food in America” survey. The Daily Meal ranked approximately 2,000 four-year colleges and cited Wash U’s South 40 House among the highest for quality of food, top-notch dining experiences and commitment to sustainability.
Under Bon Appetit’s management, dining at the university is much more than a servery. Here students feast on food styles from around the globe with a wide range of offerings – from brick pizza ovens to a Mongolian grille, and a kosher kitchen. Interactive cooking classes and chef demonstrations are held in Studio 40. Mackey Mitchell’s design for the South 40 House provides comfortable spaces for students to dine and interact, and brings students, faculty, and staff together in a wide array of dining options.
