Mackey Mitchell’s annual holiday gala will be held at the historic Thaxton building in downtown St. Louis. Constructed in 1925, the Art Deco-styled structure was designed by the firm of Klipstein & Rathmann as a prototype display space for the Eastman Kodak company. The building has been renovated and features fantastic Jazz Age decor. It served as a camera shop for many years, and was later featured in a movie titled “The Game of Their Lives.” The Thaxton’s ambience and lower-level “speak easy” will surely  make our celebration the “cat’s meow.”
