Gwynn Zivic was featured in the first edition of HSA NEWS (Hammons School of Architecture) published by Drury University (page 13). As a Drury graduate with a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Arts, Digital Imagery, Gwynn was recognized for her work at Mackey Mitchell Architects as lead designer on the recently completed University of Alabama-Huntsville (UAH) student center. The article also noted her role as juror in last summer’s AIA Chicago Design Excellence Awards.
Gwynn has a strong design aesthetic and a passion for creating projects that integrate the disciplines of interiors, graphics, and architecture. From the design of a LEED-Platinum housing project for the University of Colorado, to winning a design competition for the soon-to-be-completed student housing project at Miami University of Ohio, her projects continually receive high levels of praise. At the recent dedication for the new student center at UAH, the Dean of Students commented, “The presence of this building will transform the student life experience for many generations of UAH students.”
