Architects John Burse and Clay Phillips will be making a presentation (November 10 at 3:15 pm) at the upcoming two-day GLACUHO conference.
They’ll be joined by Jon L. Shaffer, Director of University Housing, Southern Illinois University Carbondale to discuss recent developments on the SIUC campus. “From High-Rises to Contemporary Lodges: Redefining the Community Experience” will focus on the transformation of the university’s residential district into an inspiring living/learning community designed to reinforce student success.
On Tuesday, November 11th from 12:30 to 1:30 pm, Mackey Mitchell is also sponsoring a free Lunch and Learn from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Space is limited, so be sure and sign up during the conference registration.
GLACUHO is comprised of a group of educators and housing professionals whose purpose is to educate housing officers about the diverse and changing needs of students. This group supports the goals and purposes of the international group of college and university housing officers (ACUHO-I).
