Architect Dan Schneider has been a busy guy these days. Along with helping manage construction of the new George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis, he also led a construction tour and provided a sneak peak to members of YAFSTL (Young Architect’s Forum St. Louis) of this major addition to the Wash U campus.
With 105,000sf, the building doubles the school’s footprint. Mackey Mitchell is partnering with Moore Ruble Yudell in the design of this exciting building and working once again with Alberici Constructors. In addition to his role as project manager and tour guide, Dan was recently part of a panel discussion on the topic of BIM (Building Information Modeling) to the “St. Louis Revit User Group.” Members from various construction and architectural disciplines throughout the entire St. Louis community came together to learn how BIM has impacted the design/construction process.
