Merrilee Hertlein received some early holiday cheer last week, learning that she passed her final ARE (Architectural Registration Exam). Merrilee is LEED AP BD+C accredited and over the years has been instrumental in moving the firm forward on design issues related to sustainability.
As a student life designer, she has a keen way of taking a client’s vision to craft spaces that are well organized, functional, and easy to maintain while managing construction and installation. During her 14 years at Mackey Mitchell Architects, she has led the interior design on over $168 million of student centers across the country as well as work with clients to showcase their brand. With experience on award-winning projects, she’s a frequent presenter at both local and national ACUI (Association of College Unions International) conferences. Having a positive impact on others fuels her passion for creating spaces that people can enjoy. With her confident, spirited approach to any task, she’s truly an asset to the firm. We congratulate her on this recent accomplishment!
