Project Architect
Position Overview
Mackey Mitchell Architects is seeking a Senior Project Architect to join our St. Louis or Dallas studios. This role offers the opportunity to shape the built environment and elevate communities through innovative, thoughtful design. As a nationally recognized firm, we foster a collaborative, mentorship-driven culture that supports professional growth and lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Project Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Project Designer and Project Manager as a key team member.
- Lead design efforts and ensure the successful execution of project vision.
- Balance multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality design standards.
Technical Expertise:
- Organize and assemble document sets efficiently.
- Apply building codes and guidelines to ensure compliance.
- Understand and coordinate building systems (structural, MEP, FP, etc.).
Teamwork & Communication:
- Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills in client and team interactions.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high performance.
- Be a motivated team player and collaborator who contributes to the firm’s success.
Education & Professional Experience:
- Licensed Architect with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
- Proficiency in Revit, drafting, modeling, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Bluebeam Review is a plus.
- Higher education project experience is a plus.
- U.S. work authorization required.
