Thank You for Joining Us in Giving Back!
Honoring a Legacy of Community Support
Mackey Mitchell Architects celebrates the legacy of our founder Gene Mackey through an all-office volunteer day every October. For this year’s Founder’s Day, some of our St. Louis employees returned to LitShop for a second year, where we built shelves and carts to support the work in their shop, cleaned and organized supplies, hung and mounted things high on their walls, and even built a custom dust collection system!
Back at the St. Louis office, other employees filled over 900 “Little Ducks, Little Frogs” Arts & Learning Packs for Springboard to Learning. These will be used to support creative education for underprivileged communities.
Meanwhile, in Dallas, our team volunteered at The Women’s Center of Tarrant County, organizing their stockroom to help better serve women and families in need.
Our Founder’s Day event was held just a few weeks after the devastating effects Hurricane Helene inflicted on Asheville. While our office building was not directly affected by the flooding, the entire region is starting on a long journey of rebuilding, supported in part by The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina.
This holiday season, we reflect on the importance of community, compassion, and connection. Through our partnerships with these incredible organizations— LitShop, Springboard to Learning, The Women’s Center of Tarrant County, and The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina—we celebrate the impact of giving back and the strength that comes from working together.
We encourage you to join us in supporting these organizations and their transformative missions. Together, we can build stronger, more vibrant communities, one act of generosity at a time. Thank you for being part of this journey with us, and we wish you a joyful and meaningful holiday season
